The Draws will take place 3 days before start of each category.

PRIZES AND PRESENTATION 

Prize money will be distributed as follows:

*Mens'(each): €500 Winner €250 Runner Up

*Ladies'(each): €250 Winner €125 Runner Up

*Mixed(each): €250 Winner €125 Runner Up

Prizes/Trophies will be awarded to the winners and runners-up of all categories following the finals.

*The committee reserves the right to not award or to reduce the prize money amounts should the total entries be less than: 24 pairs for men, 12 pairs for Ladies and 18 pairs for mixed categories.

There will be a consolation ‘B’ Draw for all pairs that do not qualify for the main draw from their groups. Medals will be provided for the winners of the consolation “B” Draws

Mixed

Friday 30th May (5.30pm to 10.30pm): Mixed Groups

Sat 1st June (9am to 9pm): Mixed Groups & Knock Out Rounds

Sunday 2nd June (10am to 3pm): Mixed semi-finals and finals

OPEN CONDITIONS 

  • Minimum of 3 matches (group qualifiers with 4 to 6 matches in total)
  • A schedule of play will be drawn up at the start of the tournament. Players must be available for play at any time.
  • Players arriving more than 15minutes late for a scheduled match may be scratched at the discretion of the Referee or Organisers. Entry fees will not be refunded.
  • All matches will be played in accordance with the current Federation of International Padel (FIP) rules. Players guilty of bad behaviour or any unsportsmanlike action may be penalised, suspended or disqualified by the Referee and his decision will be final.
  • Match format for all group matches will be decided once total entry numbers are known and tournament schedule can be planned. All knock-out rounds will be played as best of 3 set matches (with a championship tie-break to 10 at one set all. The championship tie-break must be won by 2 clear points).
  • All finals will be played as full, best of 3 set matches (with a full 3rd set played at 1 set all)
  • Killer point will be played on the 2nd deuce for all matches.
  • The Malta Tennis Federation will appoint a seeding committee whose decisions on all seedings for the tournament will be final.
  • No complaint in connection with the tournament can be entertained by the Referee unless made in writing within 24 hours of the occurrence and no application for leave to appeal against any decision of the Referee can be entertained by the Council of the MTF unless made in writing and lodged with the Secretary of the Federation within 24 hours.
  • The Referee and Organisers reserve the right to alter or modify the program and conditions in any way they deem fit.
